About HDMI

About High Speed "Bandwidth" There has been a lot of confusing talk about HDMI "Bandwidth" lately, particularly within the marketing of some of the "big brands" and it can be a bit of a mine field to navigate. Many brands say their HDMI cables can transfer 10.2Gbps data, but at what length?
Our cables support a minimum 10.2Gbps up to 7 Metres based on the current HDMI Compliance Testing Specifications. The transfer rate will gradually drop off as the length increases past 7m however ALL lengths that we sell have been fully tested to transmit Full High Def 1080p video.
The most famous brand of cables in the world only specifies a need for 6.68 Gbps to acheive 1080p on their website. Even their "Ultra High Speed" HDMI cables have a disclaimer on the site saying the data rate will vary over longer lengths.
